Clara is a sociology student at the University of California, Davis. She is interested in how people build communities, share ideas, and find a sense of belonging. Growing up across different cultural settings has shaped the way she listens to others and thinks about communication. At Her Campus, she looks forward to meeting new people and helping create a space where students feel comfortable sharing their experiences.
Outside of class, Clara serves as the Director of the Sports and Entertainment Department for the Chinese Students and Scholars Association at UC Davis. She enjoys bringing people together through events, from planning the details behind the scenes to seeing everyone connect in person. Her experience in student organizations has made her especially interested in community outreach and the small choices that help an event feel welcoming.
Clara is also interested in media, fashion, and the ways stories can bring attention to different perspectives. She hopes to explore communication, public relations, and event planning in the future. When she is not working on a class project or organizing an event, she likes discovering new places to eat, spending time with friends, and finding fun things to do around campus. Through Her Campus, she is excited to learn from other members, contribute her ideas, and get more involved in the UC Davis community.
