Hello! My name is Catherine Marquez, a Molecular Cellular Biology sophomore at Urbana-Champaign, and I’m thrilled to be joining Her Campus!
As a first-generation college student immersed in STEM research at Bell Lab, I am actively involved in a neuroscience project creating a brain atlas map for 3-spined stickleback fish. Beyond my academic pursuits, I am passionate about addressing the underrepresentation of Latina professional through student panels.
Outside of academics and the lab, I enjoy drawing architecture, tending to plants, exploring music, and all things beauty-related. I’m excited to contribute to Her Campus, fostering a collegiate guide that empowers and builds a supportive community for girls like us!
