Hi! I’m Catalina, and I’m a second-year Business Administration student at Cal Poly concentrating in finance. I grew up in San Jose in the Bay Area, and I’ve always loved math and problem-solving, which is a big part of what drew me to finance. After college, I hope to pursue a career in corporate finance, and I’m excited to keep learning more about the field throughout my time at Cal Poly.
Outside of school, I love staying active and spending time outdoors. I played basketball for eight years growing up, so sports have always been a big part of my life, and I still love watching them. I also love going to the gym, hiking, going to the beach, and spending time with my friends and family. I’m always down to try something new, whether that’s traveling somewhere I’ve never been, trying out a new recipe, or finding a new sunset spot with my friends.
I’m really excited to be part of the Events and PR team for Her Campus at Cal Poly. I love meeting new people, being involved, and having opportunities to be creative and work with others. I’m looking forward to helping plan events, getting more involved in the Cal Poly community, and being part of a group where I can meet new people and make the most of my college experience.
