Cadence Von Merta is a first-year student at Gettysburg College majoring in Political Science and Chinese. Originally from the West Coast, she moved to Texas before coming to Gettysburg for college. She is incredibly excited to begin writing for Her Campus, where she plans to cover pop culture, music, movies, and current events.
This summer, Cadence had the pleasure of spending six weeks in Taiwan studying Chinese. Her interests range from keeping up with the latest movies and music to finding new clothes and spending far too much time browsing stores.
Outside of school, Cadence enjoys watching movies, reading, shopping, and baking. She especially loves decorating cakes and experimenting with different designs. She is also a dedicated movie theater enthusiast and considers Cinemark one of her favorite places on Earth. She is looking forward to getting involved at Gettysburg and sharing her interests, opinions, and writing with the Her Campus community.
