Brianna Sanders

Bowie State '28

My name is Brianna Sanders, and I am currently a sophomore at Bowie State University majoring in Elementary Education. Ever since I began my college journey, I have been passionate about shaping young minds and creating positive learning environments for children. My decision to pursue a degree in education stems from my desire to help those in need especially children who may require extra guidance, encouragement, and someone they can look up to. I believe that education is the foundation for success, and I want to play a meaningful role in ensuring that every child receives the support they deserve. During my time at Bowie State, I have been fortunate to gain hands-on experience working with students. I volunteered at White Hall Elementary School in a fifth-grade math classroom, where I assisted children who struggled to understand specific topics. This experience strengthened my patience, creativity, and ability to adapt lessons to meet different learning styles. It also reaffirmed my belief that every child has potential when provided with the right tools and encouragement. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, shopping, and traveling to explore new places and cultures. In the future, I aspire to become a Special Education Coordinator, managing case files and ensuring that students with special needs receive the individualized support and resources they require to thrive. My ultimate goal is to create inclusive, compassionate learning environments where every child feels seen, valued, and capable of success.
