Hi!
I’m Bisma Imran, and I’m a fourth-year double major in Cognitive Science (computational emphasis) and Applied Statistics at UC Davis. I’ve always been drawn to the places where people, technology, and communication overlap. It’s a big part of why I chose my majors and why most of my extracurriculars naturally fall into that space. I’ve been involved with Neurotech as a publisher, worked at Ulta Beauty as a beauty advisor and task associate, and spent time working in different school settings, whether that be as a tutor or as an orientation leader. I’ve also been part of an Islam and AI research lab, which really pushed me to think about how writing, data, and identity can come together in meaningful ways.
Outside of academics, I love writing that feels simple, honest, and relatable. I’m especially interested in topics like beauty, digital identity, wellness, and the way technology shapes the choices we make every day. I’ve written pieces on beauty and AI before, and I’m excited to bring those ideas, along with new ones, to a platform as diverse and community focused as Her Campus.
When I’m not studying or writing, you can usually find me coffee shop hopping, enjoying a perfect latte, appreciating gloomy days, exploring new cities, trying new places, or spending time with friends and family. I love capturing small moments,earning from others, sharing ideas, and being around people who care about the work they do and the stories they tell.
