Hi, my name is Baylee Simpson. I am from a small beach town in North Carolina. I am a student at East Carolina University planning to graduate in 2029!
I first got involved with Her Campus due to my sorority big clueing me in that she wanted to start a chapter at our college. I said I’d gladly co-found this with her, and here I am now- Editor in Chief of the ECU HerCampus chapter!
I guess I should tell you a few more personal things about me now. I came to college as a Secondary Science Education major with a chemistry concentration, but now, at the end of my freshman year, I have switched to Elementary Education! I am very excited to pursue this occupation as I have worked with children ages 9-18 every summer for the past 6 years now. As well as being a teachers’ assistant for a kindergarten class my junior year of high school. I was a co-president of my high schools’ Future Teachers of America club, as well as a co-captain of my school and competitive teams’ color guards! I can spin flag, rifle, and saber.
