Aziyah Braithwaite is a student at Howard University enrolled in the accelerated five-year master’s program in Speech-Language Pathology. Passionate about communication, advocacy, and child development, she aspires to build a career helping others strengthen their voices and overcome barriers to expression. On campus, Aziyah is an active member of the Howard University Undergraduate Student Assembly, where she contributes to student advocacy and leadership initiatives. She is also a member of the Howard University Women’s Volleyball Team, balancing athletics with academics while building discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills.

In addition to her campus involvement, Aziyah has gained professional experience through the HBCU First internship program. In this role, she enhanced her resume and interview skills while building connections with companies such as U.S. Bank and Tiffany & Co. This opportunity allowed her to develop the tools necessary to pursue her career goals while also preparing to contribute meaningfully to her field. With her interest in both health and communication, she looks forward to a career where she can combine service, advocacy, and mentorship.

During her free time, Aziyah enjoys spending time with her family, especially guiding her young niece’s education, which has been a driving force in her passion for working with children. She also values expressing herself through professional dress and style, as well as engaging with communities that reflect her dedication to growth, leadership, and service. She hopes to leave a legacy of excellence, mentorship, and impact both on campus and beyond.
