I am currently a student at the University of Florida, pursuing a degree in Criminology with a minor in Public Relations. My academic path reflects my dual passion for justice and communication. Alongside coursework, I gained hands-on experience through an internship at a courthouse, where I observed mental health and drug court proceedings. That experience deepened my understanding of how the legal system operates in practice and reinforced my interest in pursuing a law career, particularly in areas where advocacy and reform intersect. My involvement as Director of Ambassador Relations for Flipping the System, a nonprofit focused on preventing sexual assault on campus, has further allowed me to combine leadership and advocacy by planning activities that foster safe, inclusive communities.
In addition to my criminology work, my Public Relations minor has helped me develop strong writing, storytelling, and media strategy skills. I have been able to merge these talents in creative ways, such as working on content creation projects and campus initiatives that bring awareness to important social issues. These opportunities have allowed me to sharpen my leadership and collaboration skills while exploring how communication can create meaningful change. By bridging criminology and public relations, I bring a unique perspective that balances analytical thinking with creative outreach.
Beyond academics and professional experiences, I like keeping things fun and simple. I love going to football and baseball games, and nothing beats a hot dog in the stands. Girls’ nights with my roommates are a regular thing, whether it’s movies, takeout, or just talking for hours. I also love traveling whenever I get the chance, even if it’s just a quick trip somewhere new. Those moments balance out the busier side of my life and keep me grounded.
