My name is Avery Stuhlbarg and I am a first-year Industrial Engineering student at Cal Poly SLO! I’m from Boulder, CO, and when I’m not in class you will probably find me at yoga classes, on a hike, crafting, or at a concert. My best friend in the world is my sister who’s four years younger than me- we love to spend our days together cooking, baking, and watching lots of movies!
As an engineering major, math and science have always been huge passions of mine. Though, I love to be in touch with all the sides of myself and try to do activities that teach me things I wouldn’t normally learn about within my major. My previous professional experience includes extensive childcare work, civic action, and social justice.
I am so excited to be a part of Her Campus to meet new people, strengthen my writing skills, learn more about journalism as a whole, and create a stronger female community here in college. I cannot wait to start writing and exploring all that Her Campus has to offer, and am excited to see how it will teach me more about my university and the diversity of people, interests, and activities it contains.
