Avery Coffey (FIU ‘22)

Hey y’all! My name is Avery Coffey and before you ask, I love coffee. I reside in Florida, but Kentucky is where my heart is. Coffee is one of my few addictions. I love creating and painting; there’s no other feeling than accomplishing a vision of your own. I’m studying Creative Writing at FIU and hope to get a certificate in Film Studies so I’ll have a purpose to analyze movies! I hope you’re able to find some guidance and helpful tips through my writing!

T.I. Takes Trips to the Gyno

    Culture is Not a Costume

Halloween has finally approached after such a long and excruciating wait. Now, we’re adults and we are forced to move onto more mature festivities; it’s not “acceptable” to trick or treat for whatever reason. Anyways, regardless of what your plans are, you’re probably thinking of potential costumes as you read this. However, don’t make the mistake of choosing an offensive one.

    How to Be Enviromentally Conscious

Whether you believe in climate change or not, there has been a drastic change in the environment over the past decade. The weather has been acting differently; temperatures and UV indexes have increased. More trash has been found in the ocean within the past year than ever before. The changes in our environment have caught the attention of many young people who look for ways to help. The most publicized eco-friendly tool is the reusable straw, but in what other ways can you help?

  • The Underlying Reasons for Hollywood Breakups

Several different stresses are thrown at celebrities regarding their love life and it’s all from the public eye.

A New Generation of Charlie's Angels

    `It: Chapter Two' Review

When ‘It: Chapter One’ was released to the public, the reviews were stuck between liking it but wishing it were scarier. The movie held more comic relief than horror; something the gore couldn’t make up for. With 14-year-olds defeating a demonic clown, there’s bound to be comedy in there somewhere. But now they’re all grown up and Derry is calling them back. Will the return of the Losers bring excitement to more than just Pennywise?
