Ava Picone is a sophomore at the University of Connecticut studying Political Science with a minor in Environmental Studies. She is passionate about environmental issues and hopes to pursue a career in shaping environmental policy in the future. She is originally from Melrose, Massachusetts. Outside of writing for Her Campus, she works for her dormitory's game room and loves to shop, go to the gym, drink coffee, hang out with friends, and play tennis.
