My name is Ashlyn Blake, and I am a student at West Virginia University. I am currently working toward my degree in sports management and a minor in sport phycology. Throughout college, I have enjoyed taking classes that challenge me to think critically, improve my writing, and become a better communicator. One of the biggest parts of my college experience has been being a member of the WVU rifle team. Being on the team has taught me the importance of discipline, time management, and staying focused under pressure. It has also given me the opportunity to compete alongside talented teammates and represent my university in a sport that I love.
Competitive rifle shooting has been a huge part of my life for years, and it has shaped who I am both on and off the range. The sport has taught me patience, consistency, and how to keep working toward my goals even when things do not go as planned. Outside of shooting, I enjoy watching Formula One and following the races throughout the season. I also like spending time with my family and friends, traveling when I get the chance, and trying new experiences. I enjoy staying active and finding ways to continue learning, whether it is through school, sports, or everyday life.
As I continue my education, I hope to keep growing both personally and professionally. My experiences at West Virginia University and on the rifle team have helped me become more confident, responsible, and determined. I know there is always something new to learn, and I am excited to see where my education and experiences will take me next. No matter what I do in the future, I hope to continue challenging myself, making meaningful connections, and working hard to achieve my goals.
