Aria Mackiewicz

Hi! I’m Aria and I’m currently studying History and French (and Korean!) at the University of Exeter. I previously studied Film Studies before switching to my current degree, and I also spent a year living and attending university in Seoul, South Korea.

I’m especially interested in topics around self-care and making student life feel less scary and more magical — something I’ve learned first-hand while living away from home for the first time. I love thinking about how small rituals, comforting media and cosy routines can transform a stressful semester into something special. Alongside self-care, I also enjoy writing about films, seasonal activities and media recommendations, and I’m excited to bring some of my favourite aspects of Korean culture (especially K-dramas!) to Her Campus too.
Outside of writing and studying, I’m a huge book lover who reads everything from silly BookTok romances to the classics (like Jane Austen!) I’m also passionate about journalling, exploring new places with friends, going on mini hikes and having study dates at cute coffee shops. Overall, I’m here for romanticising life as much as possible (and you’ll most likely find me writing my next article from a cosy café with a latte in hand!)
