A lover of all things science since she was a little girl, Amaya is a junior Biology and Neuroscience double major at the University of Florida. She’s also pursuing minors in Pathogenesis, Chemistry, and Public Health, as well as a certificate in Visual Arts in Medicine. As an aspiring physician, she hopes to incorporate art into the medical field to advocate for a whole-body approach to well-being and health equity. When she’s not cramming for her next biochemistry quiz, you can find her nose-deep in a book, watching Gilmore Girls with a coffee in hand, or convincing herself that studying for the MCAT while on the treadmill is a good idea.
