My name is Alyssa Gruia-Fregoso, and I am pursuing a degree in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics here at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. I am hoping to enter a career field in the realm of consulting or as an analyst, fueled by my interest in economics. I am also growing an interest in research along the lines of the economy and the policies that may effect it, and I look forward to seeing the opportunities the University of Illinois may offer for research!
Along with economics, I have a strong passion for dance and choreography, and hope to even pursue a minor in dance. I grew up on a high commitment competitive dance team, and even started working along choreographers, to one day fulfill that role on my own hopefully.
Outside of my career interests, growing up on the Northside of Chicago offered many opportunities and likings for me to come across. I love shopping at local malls with friends and family, going to the beach, and going on Starbucks plus lunch runs with my friends. I also spend my time by staying active by either going to the gym, taking drop in dance classes, pilates, or cycling. Which overall accumulates into my love of self care!
