Hi! I’m Alyssa Amendt and I am majoring in psychology with a minor in project management at Chico State. I’m currently in my third year, and I love studying how people think and behave while learning how to organize and lead projects. Over the years, I’ve worked in a bunch of different roles—marketing, pet sitting, daycare, and assisting with cooking classes. Each one taught me something new and helped me become more creative, outgoing, and organized.
I’m originally from San Jose, California, but moving to Chico for school has been such a great experience. I also studied abroad in Torino, Italy for 4 months. That experience really inspired my love for exploring new places and stepping out of my comfort zone. Since being at Chico State I traveled to so many amazing places, have met such beautiful people, and made memories that will stay with me forever :)
Outside of school and work, I am always spending time with my friends and family. Art and creativity are super important to me too, I am always trying to find new ways to use my creativity. I also love being outdoors. Whether I’m doing an activity like hiking or simply sitting in nature I find it so grounding.
I am always looking forward to my next adventure and can't wait to see what this next year brings!
