Allison is a first-year student in the Bachelors of Journalism program, doing a double major in Political Science. Allison has always been an avid learning and a motivated scholar. Her commitment to academics is demonstrated by her accolades, including High School Valedictorian, and Ontario scholar.
Beyond her academic achievements, Allison also has a strong background in leadership and community involvement. She has served as both president and vice president of her High School student council. Throughout this time, her public speaking and leadership skills developed by planning and executing school wide events. Additionally, Allison was a director for the Peterborough youth council, where she coordinated events with the city and volunteered with local charities. In High School, she also led the Safe Schools Initiative, presenting her team's work to the KPR director of education and superintendents. Allison also worked in a deli for two years before she moved to University. This gave her customer service and time management skills.
Allison loves consuming as much media as possible. Her love for reading novels, articles, magazines; listening to music, podcasts, and watching television are important to her. Allison also likes spending time with her friends and family. Allison aspires to be either a Political Journalist or Lawyer.
