Hey! I’m Alicia, and I am a freshman economics major here at the University of Illinois! I am from Northern Virginia and am super excited to be living in Illinois. Back home I love exploring new cafes, spending time with friends, shopping, and going to parks. I’ve always been interested in decision making and solving world problems, especially when it comes to money and business which is why I decided to study economics!
Outside of academics I really enjoy dance, photography, shopping, reading, and baking. I work at a Hallmark store as a sales associate, selling merchandise and engaging with customers. I have also worked as a dance instructor at my studio back home, and I loved teaching young kids how to dance. I’ve been dancing since I was little, and I love that it allows me to be creative while staying active. I also love to take photos of pretty scenery and bake fun recipes I see online. I also really enjoy shopping at the mall with friends, and spending time at the beach when I can.
Overall, I love to spend time with others and meet new people. Hanging out with friends, whether it’s a night in or going out is one of my favorite ways to spend time. I can’t wait to connect with other creative, passionate people and contribute to a space empowering women. Looking forward to this upcoming year!
