My name is Alexa Lewandowski, and I am currently pursuing a degree in International Relations through the Joint Degree Programme between the University of St Andrews in Scotland and the College of William & Mary in Virginia. This unique program has given me the opportunity to study in two different academic environments and develop a deeper, more global perspective on international politics, culture, and policy. I am especially interested in the intersections between diplomacy, global security, and human rights, which are areas I hope to continue exploring throughout my studies and future career.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I am actively engaged in student life at both universities. I play club lacrosse, which has allowed me to be part of a strong team community while also challenging myself athletically. I am also involved in sexual and gender-based violence prevention initiatives, where I work alongside peers to promote awareness, provide resources, and advocate for safer and more supportive campus environments.
Beyond academics and extracurriculars, I enjoy spending my free time outdoors, particularly hiking and exploring nature trails. I also love to read, both as a way to expand my knowledge and to unwind. Animals are another important part of my life, and I find joy in spending time with them whenever I can. Whether through academics, athletics, advocacy, or personal interests, I am committed to learning, growing, and contributing positively to the communities I am part of.
