My name is Alejandra Maldonado, and I am a nursing student at Rutgers University–New Brunswick in the School of Nursing. I have a deep passion for maternal health and aspire to become a labor and delivery nurse, where I can support and care for mothers and newborns during one of the most important moments of their lives. Through my coursework and experiences, I am developing the skills and knowledge needed to make a meaningful impact in the field of nursing.
Beyond my academics, I love staying active and being involved in my school community. Going to the gym is an important part of my routine, and I’m also an active member of the Bachata Club, where I connect with others who share my love for dance and culture. Additionally, I am making an effort to become more involved in the nursing community, seeking opportunities to grow and learn alongside my peers.
On top of my studies and extracurricular activities, I also balance a job while making time for my friends and family. Managing multiple commitments has helped me develop a strong work ethic and time management skills, which I know will benefit me in my future nursing career. With passion, determination, and a deep commitment to caring for others, I am excited to continue my journey toward becoming a labor and delivery nurse.
