Abby Mitchell is a freshman at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, majoring in Communications and Journalism with a concentration in public relations. She enjoys writing short stories and comics about her life and has a background of theater in both acting and directing.
Abby's writing often investigates taboo topics such as sex, cultural scripts and mental health (as well as where these topics intersect), she appreciates the embarrassment and messiness of day to day life and tries to embrace it through her writing.
Outside of journalism Abby enjoys rewatching her favorite movie, beating dead horses, and giving great unsolicited advice. She attempts to be a storyteller in every way: on paper, on the stage and with her words.
