Abigail Andrade

Hi! My name is Abigail Andrade, but I just go by Abby. I grew up in Chowchila, California, a small town in the central valley with a population of about 15,000 people.I graduated from Chowchilla Union High School in Spring of 2024 where I was largely involved in various school activities that boosted my appreciation for my community, and further opened my doors for chances to branch outside of my small town. This past May, I graduated from my local community college with an associates degree in Communications in Arts for transfer. During my time there, I developed strong skills in effective communication, both in writing and public speaking. I've also collaborated and worked on group projects that taught me the importance of diverse perspectives honing into one. As a new student here at San Diego State University, I'm excited to bring my background in community unity and my skillset through communication and malleability to contribute to the culture of Her Campus Media. I'm eager to be involved in something bigger than myself and play a role in being an outlet for a large community of young women who value things as I do.
