In The Lady Gaga “I’m Your Biggest Fan” TikTok Trend, Creators Are Obsessed

Lady Gaga, just so you know, I am your biggest fan. A Star Is Born is probably one of my favorite movies of all time, and your voice literally sounds like a goddess. I remember growing up and seeing your face on magazine covers at the checkout line in grocery stores and thinking to my ten-year-old self, Wow, she’s so cool. Your confidence and authenticity was something I admired — and still admire — to this day.

Okay, so now that that’s been all said and done (sorry, it had to be said in case the queen herself reads this), let’s dive into another TikTok trend that’s been going viral for the past week: the Lady Gaga “I’m Your Biggest Fan” TikTok trend. Creators are using the trend to share their latest and largest obsessions (cats with thumbs, anyone? They’re just so cute!) — and as always, they’re not holding back.

Here’s where the popular trend originated and how to try it out yourself — and if you try it out, maybe, just maybe, Lady Gaga will notice you.

Where did the trending sound originate?

The sound originates from a viral video of Lady Gaga singing “Paparazzi” at the VMAs back in 2009 (TW: fake blood) posted by user @ladygaga.romania, where the singer is bleeding out of her chest and breathlessly singing across stage. In the video, Lady Gaga sings the iconic lines, “I’m your biggest fan / I’ll follow you until you love me.”

The emotional and dramatic performance is still known as one of the pop star’s best performances to date, even over a decade later. In her documentary from 2017 titled Gaga: Five Foot Two, Lady Gaga explained that she made the decision to bleed during her performance to remind fans of what gossip and media can do to young women in the spotlight. “If I’m gonna be sexy on the VMAs and sing about the paparazzi, I’m gonna do it while I’m bleeding to death and reminding you of what fame did to Marilyn Monroe. And what it did to Anna Nicole Smith,” Lady Gaga said.

Although the video on TikTok was originally posted back in March, the sound has only begun trending over the past couple of weeks.

In the Lady Gaga “I’m Your Biggest Fan” TikTok trend, creators share their obsessions.

In the viral trend, creators are sharing their obsessions — no matter how big or small. For example, creator @katie_beaupre thanked the inventor of Shirley Temples (oh, and @goofyhotgurl thanked the inventor of the Dirty Shirley, which is essentially a Shirley Temple with vodka), while user @mcloughlingirls shouted out the creator of sushi in a passionate video. Creator @maisielousmith praised whoever decided to put ice in coffee one day (I personally still prefer hot coffee, but to each their own), and user @lillyjadenewton_ shared her undying love for mascara.

Other popular obsessions in the trend? There’s a vast variety — including (but not limited to) ketchup, Aperol spritzes, “half swiping” on Snapchat, pretzels, pickles (couldn’t be me, sorry), fajitas, dipping bread in oil, massage guns, and the phrase “Go piss, girl!”

Trying the viral trend is easy.

To try out the trend, think of something you absolutely love — whether it’s pesto pasta or self tanner or even Lady Gaga herself — and get to filming. As always, you can also scroll through the trending sound to get inspiration if you’re in a slump.

Oh, and readers? I’m your biggest fan — thanks for reading TikTalk! XOXO, byeeeeeee!
