By now, it’s safe to say that Harry Styles is having a milestone year. His third studio album, Harry’s House, was released in May of this year with critical acclaim. The 28-year-old singer-songwriter is also set to star in two new films slated to be released in fall 2022. His growing list of accomplishments in the entertainment industry leaves us asking: What can’t Harry do?

It’s difficult to scroll through social media these days without catching a soundbite of Harry’s hit single, “As It Was.” The catchy, upbeat pop hit was released on March 31 and was accompanied by a dance-inspired music video — it’s been a chart-topper ever since. The album as a whole combines several musical elements to create an overall dreamy record. With elements of rock and funk, Harry’s House combines the fun of a pop album with lyrics that often cut deep. Songs like “Matilda” and “Boyfriends,” for example, carry a sense of melancholy, and serve as a reminder that we all deserve to be treated well by loved ones.

In an interview with NPR, Harry explained how his concept of home has changed. “I always felt like I would land in a certain place or a certain house and feel like ‘Oh, this is the home I’ve been searching for.’ And I think, much like happiness, that isn’t necessarily a final resting place and it is a journey and it’s kind of peaks and troughs of happiness, sadness — all of the things that make you feel alive.”

Harry’s music and magnetism as a performer continue to reach new fans thanks to his unintentional popularity on social media. While for the most part Harry stays off social media, his fans have made his concerts seem like a can’t-miss event. On TikTok, concertgoers have posted hundreds of thousands of clips from Harry’s Love on Tour performances. The videos feature an energetic Harry dancing on stage, reading signs from fans aloud, talking to people in the crowd, and genuinely having a good time doing what he loves. The videos reach viewers from across the globe, introducing them to his music and proving his talent as an entertainer.

Harry’s success isn’t just limited to the music industry, however. In September, he’ll star in the psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling alongside Florence Pugh. In October, he’ll play the character Tom in My Policeman, an adaptation of Bethan Robert’s 2021 novel. Both roles appear to require some serious dramatic acting from Harry and fans will get the chance to see him develop his acting skills further. And both trailers recently made their way to YouTube, sending fans into a frenzy over how good he looks — I mean, how good his acting looks.

Between the success of Harry’s House and his upcoming starring roles, there’s little doubt that Harry is making the most of 2022. Whether he’s dazzling us with new music or captivating us on-screen, he has our full attention — and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
