Being a woman is no easy task, and unfortunately now more than ever women are feeling unsafe no matter the setting. With these four gadgets listed below, hopefully you can feel protected any place you go. It’s time to take back control, because I for one would like to walk the earth without living in fear.

1. Personal Alarm

A personal alarm is a great tool to have on hand. The alarm is the shape of a small egg and can hook on to keys, backpacks, purses and more. If you ever feel unsafe all you must do is remove the pin from the side of the gadget and am alarm will go off hopefully scaring anyone who you feel unsafe around to run away.

2. Car Safety Hammer

This instrument is a hammer, window glass breaker, and seatbelt cutter all in one. It is designed to help you escape any car in case of danger. It is a small handheld easy to carry tool that one should always have with them, but hopefully will never have to use.

3. Alert Bracelet

This bracelet comes from the company InvisaWear. They created a device that may look like an everyday accessory to a passerby, but with the click of a button on the back of the device, you are able to send up to five emergency contacts a text to your location in case you need help. Who knew safety would become a fashion statement, but this is definitely one trend I can get behind.

4. Noonlight App

Noonlight is app created to make people feel safer when walking alone. If you are ever uncomfortable walking from one destination to another all you must do is open the app and hold down the button until you feel secure. Once you release the button you will type in a four-digit code of your choosing to notify you are safe. If the code is not entered in the time allowed, the app will alert the police with your exact location.

Nobody should have to feel unsafe in the places that they live or frequent daily. Hopefully, having these tools on hand will ease some of the anxiety and make living your life a little less scary.
