Top 10 Emma Chamberlain Looks From Coachella 2018 To The Met

I’m a pretty big fan of Emma Chamberlain, I’ve seen all her videos, I recently got into her podcast Anything Goes (which is great if you need someone else’s voice in your head for a change), and I’ve really enjoyed watching her grow and evolve over the years, especially in the fashion department.

I mean, she practically invented the VSCO Girl aesthetic. You have to give credit where credit is due.

Pinterest:

This isn’t my favorite look but I think it does capture a moment in time and for that, it’s here.

In no particular order….

Look #1 – The green skirt

This skirt is so good you can’t even tell me different.

While the outfit is fairly simple (which isn’t a bad thing), every element just works. The unique texture of the boots gives it a little something extra, and it balances out the shortness of the skirt. And because the skirt and boots are a little busy, a simple graphic top works here.

I’m also obsessed with the very subtle asymmetric detail of the skirt and all the buttons— bury me with this skirt thanks.

Look #2 – the met gala

Regardless of everyone’s feelings on the last Met, I’m of the opinion that Emma looked great. The dress is beautiful, it’s interesting, it’s all styled very well. I’m into it. 8/10

Look #3 – Coachella 2018

OKAY OKAY OKAY OKAY. I think even Emma herself would say that this isn’t her best look. At all. HOWEVER, if you put yourself back in the mindset of 2018, and what was in style, and that she was around 16-17 years old… she looks great.

It’s fun, it doesn’t take itself too seriously, and the accessories and patterns are all cool and funky. I still like this. Wouldn’t wear it…. but I had to mention it.

Look #4 – the yellow corset top no one talks about

I feel personally robbed that this top was just a one-off Instagram post that came and went and nobody noticed. It is so freaking beautiful and delicate and I love it. Okay next.

look #5 – Don’t knock the classics

I am a firm believer in classic and timeless pieces making up the majority of your wardrobe for both ease and sustainability reasons, and that’s why I picked this outfit. It’s a simple formula that looks polished, fits well and anyone can replicate.

Look #6 – Halloween

She was wayyyy ahead of the y2k trend era coming back. I think the accessories and styling really sell this look. All the elements are there and plus it’s super casual and cute.

Look #7 – Coachella 2022

This look is so weird and cool and funky and I’m obsessed with it. I’ve never seen anything like it before and that’s so fun. The texture and the print are sort of mesmerizing and the cut of it is totally unexpected – a turtleneck bodysuit with no sleeves or pants?? Okay! Also, something about the bag looking a bit like a gun holster gives me cowboy vibes and I love that.

Look #8 – Sweatervest & HEadband moment

I really love the whole composition of this photo. The sweatervest comes off more chic and cool than ready I think because of the headband- it makes it more of a cohesive vibe.

Look #9 – Fun graphic tank

I just know this top sold out after this post.

Look #10 – Coachella 2022… again

What can I say? She killed it.

I think I saved the best for last.

The deconstruction, the texture, the color— it’s all such a 10/10 for me. I like how parts of the skirt go up over the waistline it gives such a cool and interesting element that you don’t really see all the time.
