This semester I’ve had the opportunity to work on my career goals, travel, and create lifelong memories with my best friends. Although there have been highs and lows, I’m fortunate for the opportunity to have been able to develop my character this semester both personally and professionally and I am excited to share my growth!

I’ve had to work very hard on my time management this semester to balance all of my involvement in academics and various clubs and commitments. I am proud of myself for being able to handle six rigorous courses, two jobs, a club, being in the Honors Program, and having an internship. Throughout my experience as a social media intern for Boston-based communication firm Wave Collective, I’ve gained skills in copywriting, content creation, analytics reports, photo styling, and more. This was a highlight of my semester, getting the opportunity to develop these skills and have some work experience that I’m passionate about adding to my resume!

I’ve also been able to travel this semester and had the opportunity to go to Puerto Rico over spring break with a close friend. I was proud because I saved up for this by working hard last semester. This made the vacation even more valuable, knowing that I paid for it all by myself! My friend and I had an amazing time and I think we were both able to grow and gain independence. We were able to get some sunny beach days in, as well as a walking tour of Old San Juan which was definitely a highlight! I was also able to visit New York City this semester for this fashion trade show Coterie and talk to professionals in the industry and see how everything works there.

I’ve created lots of great memories with my closest friends this semester, and have been able to grow closer to some of my other friends which have been amazing! Some of my favorite memories with friends have been dancing and doing karaoke at Margarita’s, going to Boston and wandering around the city, going to “Fashionably Late Thursdays” in Boston for a fashion show, Marathon Monday, and going to the movies! Even just the late-night talks with my best friends have allowed us to grow closer and I’m so lucky to have them.

Overall, it’s been an amazing semester. I’m excited to continue the positive energy into the rest of the year and see what life has in store for me!
