So, you’re probably wondering what lip blushing is. It’s essentially a cosmetic “tattoo” for fuller lips without filler or injections. The cosmetic industry has officially blessed us with a way to get fuller lips that is easier, lasts longer, has more benefits, and is more natural-looking. Read on to learn more about this procedure!

the procedure:

What happens during the procedure? A tiny needle deposits pigment into your lips, similar to a tattoo, building layers of color. Your procedure can be tailored to your wants and needs depending on your goals. For example, it can be a corrective service working to even out the tone of your lips, or it can help with asymmetry. Overall, it enhances the natural color of your lips, improves their shape, and gives them definition as an illusion to having fuller lips.

how much will it cost?

Depending on your location, each appointment can cost anywhere from $500 to $1,500.

why not filler?

Lip filler is great for creating volume in your lips, but lip blushing delivers more natural results while creating the illusion that your lips are fuller. Lip blushing can also last several years, whereas fillers usually last anywhere from 12 to 18 months. The investment is more worthwhile for a lip blushing procedure than continually going in for filler injections.

what to expect:

When you get to your appointment, your lips will be prepped with a numbing solution. After that, the technician will draw out the “new lips” so you can make any changes if you need to before starting. Then the technician will begin to tattoo your lips. The procedure takes anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half to complete. The painfulness of the procedure is tolerable with the numbing solution, and it’s recommended to take Tylenol beforehand to help with the pain. It’s essential to plan your procedure accordingly as your lips will be swollen for up to a few days afterward and, as they heal, may scab for up to a week. The color will be very vibrant and fade to a more natural shade within a few weeks.

All in all, lip blushing achieves a similar look to lip fillers, and if you’re looking to enhance your lips, this may be the cosmetic procedure for you! The main goal is to do what’s right for you and what makes you feel beautiful!

If you want to have fuller lips that look natural, I hope you consider lip blushing! Ditch filler, be a beauty trendsetter, and get your lips blushed, sis.
