One week and I still haven’t heard anything, not a text, not a phone call, not a snap, nothing. Yes, I have been ghosted. But luckily for you ladies, I was able to find the perfect candidate for finding and experiencing the red flags many of us have dealt with.

At first, they seem to be interested, asking you what you’re interested in and what you like to do for fun, they respond seemingly well, and genuinely they seem interested. But honey do not be fooled, this is just how they bring you into the carnival full of red flags.

After this, the texts will only be sent after 8 p.m. with a quick follow-up of “I’m so sorry. I’ve been busy all day.” And because you are so understanding you decide to ‘let it slide.’ After this goes on for a couple of days, you become annoyed, (or at least I was) obviously, he’s not sleeping and at work at the same time. He’s posting on IG and viewing your Snapchat stories. He’s just ignoring you now.

Maybe your girlfriends are right, these are just all red flags. Have you just been ignoring them? Yes. But then he calls you, “explains” everything, and then everything is forgiven. Girl, this is the biggest red flag. Not quite attached to this guy yet, but the ups and downs of the “relationship” are kind of exciting. Eventually, the excitement dies down after a week goes by and you finally realize that you’ve been ghosted. And let me tell you, you’re so much better off without him. You deserve better, you are better.

So put this experience in the back of your pocket. Be the queen you are, leave him behind, and keep pursuing you and your dreams. We don’t need anything or anyone to bring us down in this world. If ever you want to play capture the red flags, my best piece of advice is to listen to your besties around you and of course, stay away from men that fall into any (or all) of these categories. Capture his red flags before your emotions become involved.
