The Met Gala taken place every year the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC is hosted by Vogue to fundraise money for the costume institute of the museum. Every year there is a theme and many celebrities portray iconic fashion looks that stay dedicated to the theme. Here are my top 5 favorite looks ever!

1. Blake Lively 2018 – Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination

Blake Lively definitely fit the “Heavenly Bodies” theme with her Versace made dress and her gold headdress.

2. Rihanna 2015 – China: Through the Looking Glass

Rihanna wore a Guo Pei couture gown to fit into the 2015 theme, and she even stated that she thought she looked like a “clown” because she believed her dress was too extreme, but I think it was perfect for the theme.

3. Harry Styles 2019 – Camp: Note of Fashion

Harry Styles for sure has a way with fashion embracing the inner femininity and not caring about what other people have to say about his style. He wore a Gucci ensemble with frill and lace which showed that this fashion trend is in fact going to stay trendy, and he pulled it off perfectly.

4 & 5. Kendall and Kylie Jenner 2019 – Camp: Note of Fashion

Both sisters and the Kardashians are known to not stick to the Met Gala theme, but they definitely understood the assignment! Both channeled the iconic characters from Scooby Doo: Daphne and Velma, but also the twins from White Chicks, the sisters from Ella Enchanted, and more.
