Bridgerton Season 2

Another Netflix original that has taken the media by storm is Bridgerton Season 2. The second season was released on March 25 and has already broken the internet. After the amazing hit that the first season was, the hype and expectations for a second season were at an all-time high. Thankfully the second season did not disappoint. After the decision by Rege-Jean Page to leave the show after the first season, we added on three beautiful and talented actresses to take this season by storm. Simone Ashley (Kate Sharma), Charithra Chandran (Edwina Sharma), and Shelley Conn (Mary Sharma) have taken over the second season of the show and caused quite a bit of drama. As of 3/30/2022 the second season of the show has garnered a great reputation once again, is part of the Top 10 on Netflix, and is ranked #1 in TV Shows Today.

The Oscars

The 94th Annual Academy Awards took place March 27, and there were a lot of key takeaways from the night. The awards themselves were quite a spectacle, the outfits were amazing, and you could see how happy everyone was to be in attendance. Dune starring Zendaya and Timothee Chalamet took home six awards for Best Sound, Best Production Design, Best Film Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Original Score, and Best Visual Effects. Disney’s Encanto took home one award on the night, Best Animated Feature. Fresh Prince actor Will Smith was the talk of the Academy Awards in more than one way. The actor took home an award for Best Actor in a Film, but also became the talk of the town after an altercation with actor-comedian Chris Rock. During his introduction for an awards category, Rock made a joke about actress Jada Pinkett Smith stating “G.I. Jane II can’t wait to see it.” in reference to Jada’s bald head due to her alopecia (a medical condition that affects hair loss and growth). In response to the joke and seeing how it affected his wife, Smith charged the stage and slapped Rock in the face on live television and proceeded to tell him to “keep my wife’s name out your f*cking mouth.” Rock seemingly laughed off the incident and continued with the show. Sources later confirmed that other actors (Tyler Perry, Denzel Washington, etc.) had talked to Smith and calmed him down. As Will accepted his award later in the show he apologized to his fellow nominees and the Academy for his previous actions. Variety reported that Rock will not press charges on Smith.

Harry Styles

On March 23 Styles shocked fans when he announced on Instagram that he would be releasing his third solo album, Harry’s House, on May 20th. He went even further as to announce that he planned on releasing a single from the album titled, “As It Was” on April 1. To say fans were surprised is an understatement, my TikTok was flooded for days following the announcement and it seemed to be all me and my fellow Harry stans could talk about following the posts. All I know is that this fan will be listening to the new single on repeat for days to come.
