Thousands worldwide began posting messages expressing how excited they were for this singer and her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky. These constant commentaries we see online have resulted in almost anyone who keeps up with current pop culture knowing about this couple’s exciting news. But how much do we know about how they are handling the pregnancy and what their plans are for the future?
Both Rihanna and A$AP Rocky appear to be thrilled about the baby on the way, as Rihanna views her pregnancy as “an exciting journey so far” and notes it has been her dream to be a mom. Although she is struggling with the changes accompanying her pregnancy, such as feeling tired, Rihanna is not worrying much about what will happen later down the line. She even stated that she sees herself having “three or four children.” She said in an ET article that “there’s always something new,” so she is just enjoying the pregnancy one step at a time.
A$AP Rocky contains the same thrill as his partner, expressing that he is enthusiastic about having a baby. In an interview, he shared that he would be a positive father figure for his kid, stating, “I think I’d be an incredible, remarkably, overall amazing dad. I would have a very fly child. Very.” He believes the overbearing affection he has for his long-time friend turned lover Rihanna is also growing due to her motherhood, referring to her as the love of his life.
A$AP recently spoke about his love for his girlfriend and felt he was truly able to connect with Rihanna during a road trip they took together. He says he has never experienced anything like it, and reflecting on this trip allowed his feelings to develop towards Rihanna. Ever since then, his feelings towards her have continued to grow, and he stated it is “so much better when you got “the one.” He continues, “She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. I think when you know, you know. She’s the one.”
Rihanna also shares strong feelings for her boyfriend and believes he will be a good dad, but is also mentally prepared to care for her baby in case he is not in the picture. She thinks the only thing you need to be a successful parent is strong care for your kid. “I feel like society makes me want to feel like, ‘Oh, you got it wrong.’ They diminish you as a mother if there’s not a dad in your kids’ lives,” said Rihanna. “But the only thing that matters is happiness; that’s the only healthy relationship between a parent and a child. That’s the only thing that can raise a child truly, is love.”
