Why You Need to Check out Sweet Chef Skincare Products

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Illinois State chapter.

I am so excited to be collaborating with Sweet Chef Skincare x Her Campus Media on behalf of our chapter at Illinois State. I’m going to be sharing my thoughts about Sweet Chef Skincare’s cruelty-free and vegan products so keep reading to find out my initial thoughts and review of these AMAZING products now that I’ve been testing them out for a while!

Products I Recevied:

  • Carrot Ginger + Salicyclic Acid Pore Cleanser
  • Carrot Ginger Blemish Rescue Patches

CARROT GINGER + SALICYLIC ACID PORE CLEANSER

Believe it or not, I’ve never used a foaming cleanser before and I LOVED this Carrot Ginger + Salicylic Acid Pore Cleanser. I normally shy away from scented products, but this fragrance was light and did not irritate my skin at all. After applying this for a few days, my skin felt refreshed and brighter. The product applied super smooth to my skin.

How to Use: It is recommended to apply 1-2 pumps onto your hands and then gently massage onto damp skin for one full minute and rinse. Don’t forget to pat your skin dry with a washcloth or let it air dry.

CARROT GINGER BLEMISH RESCUE PATCHES

Yet another trendy product I’m late to using: blemish patches! I tried out the Carrot Ginger Blemish Rescue Patches from Sweet Chef Skincare. These are hydrocolloid spot patches that help minimize breakouts and dark spots. They help blemishes of all sizes and stages since there are four different sizes and designs in the box to choose from. Truthfully, all of them worked wonders to the dark spots on my chin and forehead.

I have to mention how cute the carrot and heart ones are! I like these the best because one time I accidentally forgot a clear one on my face and left my apartment. I really enjoy using these patches on my skin and have noticed a difference when using them on breakouts.

How to Use: It is recommended to apply them to clean, dry skin. Plan on leaving the patch on for 6+ hours (or overnight), and these will help with reducing dark spots and minimizing breakouts.
