I am someone who loves to rewatch movies I know and love. Cold weather and falling leaves just seems to exacerbate that particular passion of mine. Here are some of my favorite movies to watch cuddled up next to the fire.

1. Good Will Hunting

Anything with Robin Williams hits hard on a dreary day. Good Will Hunting is both an exciting and emotional movie that always leaves me in tears.

2. The Holiday

I have to argue that The Holiday is perhaps the best Christmas movie to exist. The plot is clever, the actors are fantastic, and the vibe is warm and happy. Not to mention the fact that Jude Law is drop dead gorgeous in this film.

3. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

If you’re in the mood for a little historical fiction, this movie is perfect for you. The movie combines interesting, widely unknown historical events and great literary references.

4. Little Women (2019)

I know that many people prefer the original Little Women from 1994; however, I am partial to the new one. The beautiful scenery and the all star cast really make the movie so good. Saoirse Ronan alone is reason enough to love it.

5. The Talented Mr. Ripley

If you’re looking for a good thriller, look no further than The Talented Mr. Ripley. This film is incredibly intriguing with beautiful shots of the Italian riviera and an amazing jazz soundtrack.

6. Normal People

Now I know this one is not a movie, but I felt it would be wrong to exclude it from the list. Normal People is a raw and emotional television series based on Sally Rooney’s amazing writing. The show really makes you think and stirs up all kinds of emotions.
