It’s official, Olivia Rodrigo’s debut album SOUR is getting a documentary!
On February 17, 2022, Rodrigo announced that she’s releasing a documentary about her record-breaking album SOUR on Disney+ on March 25, 2022! If you haven’t seen the teaser trailer yet, here’s your chance!
Aptly titled Olivia Rodrigo: driving home 2 u (a SOUR film), the documentary will see her reflect back on her process of making the album as she embarks on a road trip. Starting in Salt Lake City, Utah and going all the way to Los Angeles, California, Olivia Rodrigo will also be performing all 11 tracks on the album with new live arrangements.
Special guests like Jacob Collier, Towa Bird, and Blue DeTiger, will be making appearances in the documentary special. In addition, we will be getting behind-the-scenes footage during the making of SOUR as well as hearing Olivia Rodrigo’s reflections about writing the album.

Disney Branded Television President Ayo Davis, in a press release for the documentary, expressed that “This is not a concert film per se, but really, an opportunity to experience first-hand how Olivia Rodrigo became one of the biggest music stars of the day – and a chance to see her perform the songs from SOUR like never before”.
