Have you ever heard of the movie 13 Going on 30? If not, here is a synapse. The movie is about a 13-year-old girl whose life is not as perfect as she wants it to be. On the day of her birthday, she makes a wish and POOF! She wakes up successful and 30-years-old. To find out what happens next you will just have to watch the movie.
Since watching the movie I began to think of my 30’s and what life could be like for me. I have only ever thought about my 20’s, but never beyond that. So, for today’s article, I will be writing about ten things I wish to do before the age of 30.
Why ten? Because I am currently 20, and my life span is decreasing with time.

For now, I only have 52 countries and cities I wish to see, but that is soon to grow as I learn more about the world and what is out there.
A few places I deeply want to visit are London (of course), the Maldives (to visit the sea of stars which occurs during the later summers), Puglia in Italy, Taipei City located in Taiwan, and Algarve in Portugal.
2. Attend a vagina workshop, or as some may call it “yoni pooja.” Yoni, vagina, and pooja, worship.
I know, I know, it sounds weird to some people. But if you have ever watched Too Hot To Handle season 1 episode 7, you know the empowerment these girls had experienced during the workshop. They learned to love themselves, and love their vagina (which many females struggle with as they get older). We should all experience some type of empowerment on a part of our body or mind.
- As childish as I am, I want to visit LegoLand.
I had seen someone on TikTok filming their memories at Legoland. It was fun to watch and made me want to be a part of the Lego action.
4. Dirt Bike Riding.
Another video I have seen was people riding dirt bikes in the mud. Motorcycles have been scary to me ever since I watched a video clip of how your bones break if you were to ever fall off the bike. However, I can not resist the urge to get on a dirt bike and gravel in mud. Doing tricks and trips up in the air or spinning the bike around in an endless circle. It all seems like a memory that will never grow old and one you can share with family and friends.
5. Watch a meteor shower.
The sky is a fascinating thing to look at. With the clouds always on the move with no destination in mind, to the stars that stretch far and wide. The sky has so much to share with us grounders. Meteor showers are just one of the many wonders and tails. I for one, want to be there when the meteoroids share with us their beautiful journey.
6. I would love to watch a Sumo Wrestling match, as well as, to be in the ring.
I have never seen a wrestling match before, besides the WWE version of one. I would love to see a live-action wrestling match. Particularly Sumo Wrestling because it is different from the traditional American wrestling we see all the time. The religious significance and strategy behind their wrestling is like no other, and I want to learn more. Not with just my mind, but with my eyes (and many more, if they would allow).
7. Go swimming with turtles.
I love swimming and I love sea animals, so why not go swimming with them? Sea turtles, in particular, are very charming and often calming creatures. The joy of making new friends with turtles would be a memory no one would ever forget.
8. Hot air ballooning.
Ever wondered what it is like to look down on the world? Well, I have. Although we have planes, they do not sound as fun as riding in a hot air balloon. Especially when you have to worry about your ears popping from the altitude level. Just imagine riding in a colorful basket on a warm afternoon, floating above the ground, close enough to touch the clouds and high enough to see the world stretch beyond you. Everyone and everything looks like ants living in their own city that never sleeps.
9. Fly a helicopter. Before you ask, no, I do not have a license.
I have watched Fifty Shades of Grey where both Anastasia and Christian were riding in a helicopter and the view from their perspective was breathtaking. Ever since I wanted to try it out for myself.
10. Last but not least: be someone’s lollipop.
Have you ever watched the TED talk with Drew Dudley called “Leading with Lollipops”? If not, you should go watch it, like right now. The key part of his talk was about him passing out lollipops during college orientation for incoming freshmen. He spotted a girl and walked over to her, but instead of giving her a lollipop, he handed it to a boy standing next to her. He proceeded to tell the boy to hand it to the girl, and years later Drew received an invitation to their wedding. Drew called it a “lollipop moment,” I wish to be someone’s lollipop moment. The person who does something kind to another, without even thinking to be a good person, but just because you wanted to or you were being yourself, and to be remembered for what you did. That would be the sweetest and most charitable moment.
