If you’re looking for a new series to watch, look no further than Abbott Elementary. Quinta Brunson not only produces, but stars in it, as Janine Teagues. Janine is an eager 2nd-grade teacher, who is just trying to make the school a better place for her students. She gives us a wonderful group of passionate teachers, partnered with a very hands-off principal, navigating daily life in the Philly elementary school.
Fun fact: Quinta named the show after her 6th-grade teacher who made an impact on her life.
This show addresses the hardships that a lot of schools and teachers are experiencing, not just during the pandemic, but every day before that.
