The best part of the holidays is being able to get all cozy with a fuzzy blanket, drink some hot chocolate, and watch Christmas movies. Not only watching Christmas movies, of course, but all the fun festivities that are welcomed this time of the year. Throughout this article, I’m going to share some of my favourite activities to do during the holiday season.

1. Holiday Movie Binge

As previously mentioned, Christmas movies are always a must! If you ever find yourself not in the Christmas spirit, take a day to watch a bunch of movies.

2. Hot Chocolate Bombs

Hot chocolate during the winter season is pretty typical, but have you have ever had or made a hot chocolate bomb? Recently, they have become a huge trend, and a delicious one! You can find these at most retail and grocery stores, but you can also make them on your own. You can find an easy tutorial online and make a night of it, even while watching some Christmas movies during the process.

3. Gingerbread Houses

Buy one at a store or build it by scratch! You can find pre-made gingerbread houses that you just have to decorate and assemble. It is a super fun activity that you can do with family and friends. You can also play some Christmas music and even have a few bites if you’re hungry.

4. Bake Cookies

It’s always a good time to bake cookies! While watching a Christmas movie, milk and chocolate chip cookies make it so much better. Not only chocolate chip, but also gingerbread and sugar cookies. These are types of cookies you can bake yourself and decorate in a Christmas theme!

5. Make Ornaments

Making ornaments is a fun activity you can do with friends and family, but it can also be made as a gift. There are so many different ways you can make and decorate your ornaments; you can personalize them with paint, stickers and so much more!

6. Go skating

Whether it be indoors or outside, ice skating is the best thing to do with your friends and family. It’s such a fun activity, even if you’re not the best at it. Make sure to always be properly equipped and to dress warm. After you finish, a nice warm hot chocolate is the best way to finish the day.

There are so many fun activities we can do this holiday season, so make sure you get to do some! I hope this list inspired you to do some of these things on your own, and with your friends and family.
