Music lovers everywhere swarm to social media sites like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Snapchat to see their yearly music roundup. For those who don’t know, ever year Spotify releases statistics based on your music habits. These statistics include your top artists, music minutes, songs and genres. Spotify also generates your top 100 songs that you listened for the year into a playlist.

As a Spotify person myself, I get pretty excited around this year because it’s fun to see the highs and lows of your music taste. I also enjoy seeing other people’s top artists and songs because it’s pretty cool to see what people are into. This year was also a big year for music and many of the top artists released their long-awaited albums. Spotify’s top 10 artists for 2021 are Bad Bunny, Taylor Swift, BTS, Drake, Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, J Balvin, Ariana Grande, Olivia Rodrigo and Juice WRLD.

The top 10 songs include drivers license by Olivia Rodrigo, MONTERO by Lil Nas X, STAY by The Kid LAROI, good 4 u by Olivia Rodrigo, Levitating by Dua Lipa, Peaches by Justin Bieber, Kiss Me More by Doja Cat, Blinding Lights by The Weeknd, Heat Waves by Glass Animals and Beggin’ by Maneskin. The top 10 albums are SOUR by Olivia Rodrigo, Future Nostalgia by Dua Lipa, Justice by Justin Bieber, = by Ed Sheeran, Planet Her by Doja Cat, MONTERO by Lil Nas X, After Hours by The Weeknd, EL ULTIMO TOUR DEL MUNDO by Bad Bunny, Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon by Pop Smoke, and Positions by Ariana Grande. It’s not a surprise that most of these songs are on the charts. TikTok has boosted many of these songs into the charts through popular trends and dances.

Spotify Wrapped is a cool way to find new music, connect with friends, and figure out what songs powered you through this year. If you’re into rap, pop, indie, dance, podcasts, rock, emo or country, Spotify Wrapped is for you!
