This semester has been tough. From speaking with both students and professors, I have heard the same things: we’re all tired, busy, and often overwhelmed. We have not had a day off since Labor Day, and the grind of daily life at school is taking its toll on us.

This Thanksgiving break, I want to encourage everyone to take some time to refresh. Three days is most definitely not long enough to completely reset, but we should do our best to take some time for ourselves. Read a book, hike a mountain trail, enjoy a warm drink. Even if you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, spend time with some people you love. Or take some much needed

alone time, if that’s more your vibe (trust me, I get it).

Whatever you do during this break, do it for you. You’ve worked hard during hard times. Reward yourself for making it this far.
