November is here, which means it’s officially the holiday season. It’s time to retire our beloved sneakers and swap them for the staple of this season: boots. Boots are a fashion piece that can immediately escalate an outfit from drab to fab. You can pair them with jeans or a dress, a skirt or leather pants. Boots come in all shapes and styles; they are so versatile and are the must-haves of this season.

Whether they are platform boots, cowgirl boots, booties or even combat boots, it’s time to treat yourself to a pair or add the ones you’ve been eyeing in the store to your holiday wish list. Here are five boots you NEED this season!

Steve Madden Cypress Black Boots

Starting off with a bang, we have the Steve Madden X Nessa Barrett boot collab: Cypress Black boots. These are at the top of my wish list and I don’t even need to explain myself, but I will! First of all, the heel on this boot is nothing short of show-stopping. I feel like I could rule the world with these boots. The style of it reminds me of the iconic 60s’ mod era. Imagine Daphne from Scooby-Doo, but if she had an edgy phase. Though they are dramatic, I feel like they are the perfect statement piece to pair with flare pants or a mini skirt with tights. Listen, I know we are college students, so I got your back with a dupe. The Nasty Gal Faux Leather Croc Platform Chelsea Boots are the perfect dupe in a bootie version. They have a similar heel and give off the same vibe, but for a much lower price!

Colorful Booties

A classic bootie has never failed me! Booties are the easiest way to spice up any outfit, whether you’re wearing jeans, a skirt or a dress. The sleek style of the boot gives off a chic vibe that sneakers simply can’t do. This season we are remixing the classic bootie with a colorful spin. Something about pastels in the holiday season equates to pure happiness. This dusty rose platform bootie from Macy’s screams autumn and I can’t get over it. They are the perfect shoe if you are used to neutrals but want to up your game. Next up, we have this admirable baby blue sock boot from Nasty Gal. This boot makes me want to put on a flowy white dress and dance to “Baby It’s Cold Outside.” Lastly, we have these stunning hot pink mid-calf boots from Lulu’s. The shine of the satin and the pop of color with the pink is so dreamy and I need them now!

Steve Madden Hutch Sand Suede Bootie

Steve Madden does it again! These suede booties are giving construction workers on the weekend, and I am here for it. The warmness of the beige is perfect for the holiday season. The chunkiness mixed with the sock boot style allows for a more casual option but still adds flavor to your holiday wardrobe. This style and color of the boot will be easy to pair with virtually anything this season. Pair these with straight-leg jeans and a tee, or even a bodycon dress with a leather jacket. As promised, I have your back with a dupe. These platform ankle boots from Lulu’s are sleek and stylish but won’t break your bank!

Sequin Boot

Maybe it was all the killer outfits from the Harry Styles “Love On Tour,” but suddenly I like sequins and I need a knee-high boot covered in them. I was never one to wear an outfit with glitter or sequins, but these pink sparkle knee-high boots from Urban Outfitters are calling my name and I am not mad about it. They are giving disco meets the tinsel on my Christmas tree and I am obsessed! They will be going on my wish list, but in the meantime, I’ll be adding the less expensive version to my shopping cart: Lulu’s silver sparkly ankle boot. They give off the same glitz and glamour of the knee-high boot, but as a more versatile styling option with a cheaper price tag!

Simple Black Bootie

I had to include the boot we all know and love: the simple black bootie. They are the staple boot for nearly every Fall and Winter outfit. They can be paired with jeans, shorts, skirts, dresses, leather pants and the list goes on. If you want to be a part of the boot club this season, but aren’t comfortable stepping out of your box, then opt for a black bootie. They are simple, yet effective. They are casual, yet chic. Boohoo, Lulu’s and Nasty Gal have a large range of options to fit your style needs. Black booties are like the Air Force Ones of boot season and they are a must-have in your holiday wardrobe!

Heel or no heel, knee-high or ankle, boots are the shoe of the season and you can’t convince me otherwise. From simple platform boots to dramatic sequin knee-high boots, there are so many options and you deserve to add a pair to your collection this season!
