It’s already November, meaning it’s time to start shopping for gifts to give to friends and family this holiday season! Before you begin shopping, keep in mind that there are ways you can give back to charities while doing so. Here are some easy ways to give to charity while checking off items from your shopping list.

Amazon Smile

Rather than shopping on Amazon, shop through Amazon Smile! It’s the same thing as the typical Amazon website, but as you purchase through Amazon Smile, it donates a small portion of your purchase to a variety of charities. When signing up, choose a charity you would like to donate to. Personally, I chose St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Although I’m not always able to give directly, it’s great to know I’m generating donations as I am buying necessary day-to-day items from Amazon as well as when I am holiday shopping.

Love Your Melon

As the winter rolls around, everyone is in need of a beanie to keep warm, and it’s a great gift to give as well. Love Your Melon sells head gear such as beanies, headbands, bucket hats, caps, etc. With each purchase, 50% of the profit is donated to organizations supporting the fight against pediatric cancer. The company also sends beanies to pediatric cancer patients! My brother has been sent a care package from Love Your Melon in support of his fight against cancer, so be sure to check out the site if you are planning on purchasing or gifting a beanie, or know a cancer fighter who could use some support through a care package.

If you are looking to purchase a new pair of glasses for either yourself or a loved one, consider purchasing a pair through Warby Parker. For each pair of glasses purchased, Warby Parker gives a pair to someone in need. This is a very easy way to give the gift of vision this holiday season!

Bombas

Who doesn’t love a new pair of socks? Socks always make a great gift for the holidays. They are one of the gifts you can give to a loved one and know it will be used. For every pair of socks purchased, Bombas gives a pair to someone in need. Be sure to consider buying socks from Bombas to give this holiday season as you are also giving someone in need a pair of socks to keep warm this winter.

The perfect place to purchase cute accessories to gift this holiday season is at Pura Vida Bracelets. The company has collaborated with an abundance of charities to create a collection that with every purchase made of those products, 5% of the profit will be donated. Check out the link above to browse the jewelry, clothes and much more that give back to the community.

Build-A-Bear

Have someone on your list that would love to receive a stuffed animal for the holidays? Build-A-Bear is the way to go. By either bringing your loved one to put together their stuffed animal in the store themselves (or on your own) or through ordering online, you have the option to donate a bit of money to the Build-A-Bear foundation upon purchase. The foundation helps multiple charities as well as COVID-19 relief.

Yoobi

Stationary and craft supplies are always a necessity. Yoobi offers a variety of pens, pencils, activity books, notebooks, binders, markers, etc. For every item purchased, a school supply item is donated to a child in need. Yoobi products would make a great gift for those going back to school for the spring 2022 semester, an educator returning to school after their winter break, or any creative mind you know.

Thrive Market

Food membership boxes are all the rage. Getting groceries delivered has become extremely popular especially during the height of the pandemic. If your loved one enjoys grocery delivery consider giving a Thrive Market membership for the holidays. For every membership purchased, a free membership is given to someone in need.

Holiday shopping is extremely stressful every year, but with the links and descriptions above, I hope it helps just a bit. All of these companies provide great gifts that you could give to others or purchase for yourself while giving back.
