It’s officially Red season! Taylor Swift will be releasing Red (Taylor’s Version) on Nov. 12, 2021, and Swifties could not be more excited. The original Red album was released in 2012, but Swift is currently in the midst of re-recording her first six albums, as she was denied the chance to own them.

Along with recording her old songs again, Taylor is also adding on songs “from the vault” to each album, meaning songs that she originally wrote for each respective album, that didn’t make the cut. Red (Taylor’s Version) will be the second rerecorded album that Swift has released, following Fearless (Taylor’s Version), which came out on April 9, 2021.

One song that fans are particularly excited about is the 10-minute version of the song “All Too Well.” The original version of the song clocks in at five minutes and 29 seconds, and was edited down from a 24-minute recording. However, on Taylor’s Version of the album, fans are finally promised the long-awaited 10-minute, explicit version of the song. Many listeners are also eagerly anticipating the release of the song “Better Man,” which Swift wrote, but actually gave away to the band Little Big Town in 2016. It went on to win Best Country Duo/Group Performance at the 60th Grammy Awards and was nominated for Best Country Song.

The re-recording of the album also gives Swift the chance to feature some of her favorite artists on the songs “from the vault.” Ed Sheeran is on two tracks of the album: “Everything Has Changed,” which he was featured on for the original album as well, and “Run,” which is a song that fans have yet to hear before. Singer Phoebe Bridges is also set to sing on one of the tracks, titled “Nothing New.” The album also will have a song titled “I Bet You Think About Me”featuring country singer Chris Stapleton.

With the release of the album, Swift has scheduled appearances on three late-night talk shows, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Nov. 11, Late Night Starring Seth Meyers on Nov. 12 and Saturday Night Live on Nov. 13. Fans of the singer are also theorizing that she may release a music video or documentary of some sort with the album, after a film crew was spotted at her New York City apartment, with the project being labeled “Acorn.” On Nov. 5, Swift went onto Good Morning America to confirm that she was indeed working on a project and that it is a short film for the song “All Too Well,” whether this has anything to do with the project “Acorn” is unclear at this time.

With less than a week before its release, it’s looking like Red (Taylor’s Version) is going to be the “sad girl autumn” album of everyone’s dreams. With iconic breakup anthems such as “All Too Well” (including the extended version) and “Sad Beautiful Tragic,as well as the classic bops known by many such as “22” and “I Knew You Were Trouble,” the album is sure to be on repeat for years.
