AITA Lovers: Here’s Your New Favorite TikTok Account

If you didn’t know, there’s an entire Reddit thread dedicated to users asking “Am I The A**hole?” (AITA). There’s nothing like a little schadenfreude to brighten your day! When I first found the subreddit, I immediately knew I’d found my new favorite pastime. And then I found Two Hot Takes. It’s safe to say I was addicted after the first view. 

The podcast Two Hot Takes is hosted by Morgan Ashley Absher and can be found on Spotify and Youtube, with shorter snippets on TikTok. The podcast doesn’t solely focus on AITA as it spotlights any and all content on Reddit, but I’m going to focus on the AITA episodes, specifically the ones on TikTok. I love the full videos on Youtube, especially because of the commentary Absher and her guests offer and the format of the videos, which makes you feel like you’re sitting in a comfy chair across from them as if you’re involved in the conversation.

I have quite literally spent hours on Two Hot Takes‘ TikTok. I’m not saying that it makes me feel better to know that someone’s mother-in-law ruined their wedding after I’ve had a terrible day, but I’m not not saying that. There’s nothing like getting back into bed after bombing a midterm and having a long shift at work and watching Absher recount people’s ridiculous stories. Ok, as I’m writing this, I’m now thinking to myself, ‘am I the asshole?’ Maybe. Anyway, Absher speaks clearly and concisely and she speaks in a way that makes you feel like you’re in the room with her. Her AITA TikToks are usually in the three-minute format and, though they don’t have much commentary from Absher or her guests, they leave you wanting to jump right to Youtube to see the rest.

As someone who likes to listen to podcasts and learns well orally, the AITA Tiktoks are really appealing. Personally, I think it can be more captivating than just scrolling through Reddit by myself. I feel like I’m a part of the podcast and a part of the conversation, and while Absher has already read through and picked the posts she’s reading, the guests haven’t and I’m reacting alongside them. That is probably the best aspect of Two Hot Takes’ TikTok. It’s casual, it’s lowkey and it’s welcoming. Now, just to give some more incentive to go right to TikTok and follow the Two Hot Takes account immediately, here are some of my favorites (and I’ll include their dates):
