I thought for this week’s playlist that I would have to honor one of the best holidays that just passed: Halloween. This week I have compiled a list of 10 songs that would be perfect additions to any spooky Halloween playlists!

“all the good girls go to hell” by Billie Eilish

There will be several Billie songs on this list because her music is oftentimes at least slightly spooky. This is one of my favorite tracks of hers, and it is the perfect upbeat track to play on or around the Halloween season.

“cannibal” by Kesha

Kesha is another artist that fits the vibes of Halloween. This song, due to its lyrics, is a must-play during the Halloween season. This track is essentially about her deep attraction to the love interest of the song.

“Disturbia” by Rihanna

Sticking with the late 2000s and early 2010s theme, this classic Rihanna song also has a spooky, mysterious feel to it. This track is about the anxiety that comes along with developing feelings for someone or finding someone attractive.

“hungry like the wolf” by Duran Duran

Throwing it back to the 80s, this is another must-have for any Halloween or spooky playlist. Inspired by the story of Little Red Riding Hood, the lyrics, and even the title itself, are eerie and reminiscent of Halloween-like creatures such as werewolves.

“can’t be tamed” by Miley Cyrus

I will use any excuse to talk about this song. For me, this is one of the tracks that can instantly give me a boost of confidence and put me in a good mood. Miley’s look for this music video would also make an iconic Halloween costume.

“monster” by lady gaga

Adding to the 2000s throwbacks, this Gaga song is not only iconic but also, as suggested by the title, perfect for the Halloween season. Honestly, most of Gaga’s most popular songs would be perfect for any spooky playlist.

“Tainted love” by soft cell

This classic is currently trending on TikTok and is being used for Halloween costume transformation videos. This track fits the mysterious vibe of the other songs on this playlist, and it is also an easy crowd-pleaser.

“bad guy” by Billie Eilish

Like I previously mentioned, most Billie songs would be perfect for a Halloween playlist, and this track is no different. This song is one of her most popular songs for a reason. Its catchy lyrics and upbeat yet eerie tempo and instrumentals make this a perfectly spooky song.

“maneater” by nelly furtado

This song is just a classic in general, and like “Cannibal,” the lyrics of this song make it another perfect addition to any Halloween song. This is also another track that instantly boosts my confidence.

“Monster” by Kanye West, JAY-Z, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, & Bon Iver

This is one of my favorite hype songs, and the monster theme of this track makes it another good addition to any Halloween or spooky playlist.

I hope you enjoyed this week’s spooky playlist and add some of these songs to your own playlists!
