… except I don’t wear makeup. When I say that, I mean it’s possible to say I have never worn blush, lipstick, eyeliner, or mascara in the same sitting. I’m not even sure if you are supposed to wear eyeliner and mascara in the same sitting? That’s how little I know. 🤔
Here is the one tip I do know, though whether I follow it is another story:
Any time you are in the sunlight, you should wear sunscreen. We must all be vampires I guess because UV light affects all of us. In fact, I dare say that a vampire is someone who isn’t affected by UV rays. 🧛

- White cast happens often. Think of mineral-based sunscreens as sun blockers since they sit on top of the skin. The white mineral layers make your natural brown and black skin tones look unnatural. The only sunscreen that isn’t on Ulta’s website is one that can be considered both “reef-safe” and “environmentally-conscious” by all environmentalists. The most mainstream and environmentally-conscious sunscreen that Ulta carries is SunBum. However, some products in the SunBum line may contain materials that are not “reef-safe”.
While we work towards the idea that brands can be environmentally-conscious, reef-safe, and inclusive of all races and people of varying economic backgrounds—it is still a dream. Until costs come down via more supermarket and makeup store chains creating orders for brands made for people of color that are also “environmentally-conscious” and “reef-safe”, these items will only be available to an economic elite or localized consumer. May sunscreen brands band together and become a force that protects my skin, the coral, and keeps the Earth habitable in the Sun’s warm glow.
