I love to read and read YA books specifically. I think that is because these books can have complex plots and characters but they are generally easy reads which help me escape from my everyday life. My absolute favorite book is Verity by Colleen Hoover. This book had me trapped before I even finished the first chapter. It took me on every dark twist and turn I could imagine while also intertwining a sickly romantic love triangle. I raved about this book so much, my mom even read it and she LOVED it!! I can’t rave about this book enough and will probably be rereading it in the near future. Verity truly is fantastic! 12/10!!

Another one of my other favorite YA books is the Program series by Suzanne Young. This 5 book series takes you on a journey through a dystopian society with a sorrowful romance and surrounds the hard topic of the suicide epidemic. 10/10! I should note almost all of the books I read are quite dystopian or just generally dark.

Some of my other favorite YA books are…

The Red Queen Series by Victoria Aveyard (Classic YA read)

Agnes at the end of the World by Kelly McWilliams (SOOO GOOD! Read it in like 3 days!)

I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson (Not really dark)

The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson (Also not really super dark)

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart (Read it years ago but it has stuck with me…)

Hi! I’m a college student at the University of Tampa majoring in Criminology and also working on getting my Real Estate License! A fun fact about me is that I have a cat named Athena and my favorite hobby is cooking!
