3 Time Management Strategies That Everyone Should Live By

1. Know yourself

Know what time of day works for you to be productive.  If you like to go to the gym in the morning and do work in the afternoon, then do that.  I know some people who are most productive at 2 am and that is when they get all their homework done.  If it works for you, then do it!

2. Create a routine

Using an agenda, to-do checklist, calendar, or another schedule planner is crucial for keeping deadlines and tasks organized.  Prioritize them based on importance and time-sensitivity.  I like to use an online to-do checklist but also write them down in my agenda.

3. Take down time

Overloading or trying to cram work into one day is not only unhealthy, but you will likely produce work that is low quality.  For more information about why cramming does not work, check out this article.  To be more effective, create small deadlines for yourself and stick to them.  Give yourself breaks, get sleep, and try not to procrastinate.

I know it is easier said than done, but give these strategies a try!
