Well it’s that time of year when Jack-o-lanterns and Witches appear! Halloween has to be one of my all time favorite holidays mostly for the excuse that I get to dress up in however many costumes I want. However, something I noticed recently (especially with the creation of tiktok) is how many Spooky trends are highlighted for this time of year!

Some of my favorites have been the costume trend on tiktok where users will reveal where to get certain pieces either in-store or online for a scary cool look! I love seeing the creativity and thought that goes into figuring out what works for a character. Especially since sometimes buying a costume straight from costume shops can be expensive or cheaply made. This way you get some cool and unique pieces that you can have in your day to day wardrob.

Another Trend I have been seeing is all sorts of spooky season themed photoshoots. Last year it was all about ghosts and this year the pumpkins have been taking over. Each one is so different, but easy to do! For the Ghost trend all you need is a white sheet with two holes for eyes and you can personalize it however you want. Maybe you have a bow on the head, or your favorite pair of sneakers. The unique part is you can make your ghost look however you want. The Pumpkin challenge has a pretty similar structure. Of course instead of a white sheet you have a pumpkin that has been cleaned out with a hole for the head at the bottom and a fun face carving in the front. Definitely gives me Dwight from the Office getting his haed stuck in a pumpkin vibes. However, I think it’s a cute way to have a fun time with friends and take some pictures for the socials.

Finally, a Halloween trend that never goes out of style is all the freaky fun treats you can make like spider cookies and mummy meatloaf! Growing up I loved seeing the Better Homes magazine for all sorts of creative treats and ideas for the season, but since the invention of Pinterst and Tiktok, we have access to these recipes at our fingertips. You’ve got your classic witch finger pretzels, mummy dogs, ghost krispy treats and more. I’m sure whatever it is you can find a cool and unique way to impress everyone at a Halloween party.

Hopefully this gets you in the mood for the spooky season! Have a fun ans safe Halloween everyone.
